What I love most about my work is seeing teens smile again — watching them grow stronger, find joy, and begin to function in a nurturing, home-like setting. Many of the teens I work with are placed in foster homes. Sadly, some are returned due to the challenges of mental illness and the inability of caregivers to cope. But every moment of progress matters. When I see my kids smile, I know healing is happening — one day at a time.
It’s not a journey I walk alone. I’m proud to be part of a team of dedicated professionals who work within a culture of openness, trust, and shared commitment. The support staff make a world of difference. Together, we create systems of care and emotional support that can truly transform lives.
This work is emotionally demanding. It requires resilience, self-awareness, and a deep well of compassion. But I remain loyal to the kids — always. This blog is an extension of that commitment. It’s a space where I share parts of my life, the stories I’ve witnessed, and the real struggles teens face every day.
To any reader who has ever felt lost, unseen, or in pain — I see you. I hope that in reading this blog, you find not only comfort but also the courage to seek healing. Your story matters. You matter.
