Overcome teenage depression won’t be easy but it can be done. You spend just about every day wondering why you feel so much, or why you feel so empty and you’ll do just about anything to just find peace. There is hope. All that energy you have now that feels like it might make you explode is the best thing you could ask for. Imagine putting that energy into something you really love doing. You’d be awesome at it, and who cares what the other kids will say, they’re not living your life.“You become limitless when you overcome what holds you back.” Lorii Myers. There are no Excuses Life is hard for adult too my friend.
Can Overcome Teenage
What inspires you or makes you feel alive? Do you love singing? Maybe you want to be a dancer? Do you like making things with your hands? Whatever it is, try to get involved with this activity and little by little.
- Go for a run
Oh, just do it! You’ll feel very different after a good run. (don’t cheat, running to the grocer’s just down the road to get a Twinkie is not going to help either) Your body and mind might resist it a little in the beginning, but before you know it, you’ll be craving that run. Try to fit in as a regular routine.
Overcome teenage: Smile, even when you don’t want to
It’s super hard to smile when you’re feeling at your worst, but it’s exactly at this moment that you’ll need a smile the most. You may even make someone else’s day by smiling at them unexpectedly.

Depression is isolating. It wants you all to itself. Try to do something nice for someone, or just be there for a friend. If you’re too shy to do this, then try doing something kind for someone without them knowing about it.
You already have so much to deal with. That girl who said something nasty about you in 5th period, she has her own insecurities, but she may not show it as easily as you do. That guy that pushed you against the wall after practice the other day? Trust me, he has his own secrets too. That’s what people do. They take out their own frustrations on someone else who seems more vulnerable. If you carry their issues for them by being hurt by what they think or say, you’re just making it easier on them while taking the entire burden on your own shoulders. Hang with friends that will support you. “I don’t want anyone who doesn’t want me.” Oprah Winfrey.
Clinical depression is not something that should be taken light at all, but the road to recovery starts with how you think and feel about yourself. You and no-one else can decide to feel better. So remember, you are not weak, you’re just in training. A marathon runner that doesn’t feel pain is not training right and won’t win the race.
