Joking around has the amazing ability to make one feel better. As it forces us to come out of our shells for a moment. And hey, what better way to make a quick appearance.

It is funny that I came across this post. I write little notes to my son so when he gets older he can read them, and last night I wrote him a letter about humor. I told him how important it is to have a sense of humor in life and be able to laugh at yourself. It really is important.

Laughter does a body, mind and spirit good! Watching a comedy on TV or film often brings a person out of a depressed mood. What’s the old saying? “I’d rather laugh than cry!” We should all laugh a little more each day!
Very true! When I share laughter with my kids, I feel younger. I think that’s my husband and I’s secret weapon to having harmonious relationship.
It’s an instant pick-me-up and lightens the mood always. It’s truly medicine!
My husband always tries to make me laugh when I’m in a grumpy mood. Sometimes I will give in and do so but other times, it takes a lot to finally loosen me up. The overall point is, it eventually works every time.

Whenever my friends ask my advice on what qualities I look for a partner they always give me a puzzled look when I say ‘sense of humor’ is #2 on the list. It’s true!
