Of course, connecting with others is essential. Humor on a personal level is not the only benefit of laughing. It’s an important one. Strangely enough laugh can keep us from feeling isolated. That’s emptiness felt by many depression sufferers joy can fill you up.  The social benefits of laughter is good for our health. It stimulates us cause happy feelings. A chuckle here is medicine for the soul and its free.

Humor is also great for self-expression. However, our ability to expressed ourselves can be lessen when we are sad. Thus, making many kids too scared or tired. To stand out and be just who they are. Joking around has the amazing ability to make one feel better. As it forces us to come out of our shells for  a moment. And hey, what better way to make a quick appearance.

Apart from the very important reasons mentioned above. Laughter can help build confidence. Self-confidence is something that many teens don’t have. But, we already know that the best way to bridge the gap between you and “them” is to laugh it out. Most of the time you’re not the only one. Who is feeling just a little out of your comfort zone not these kids.

A little bit of humor goes a long way. In building not only new relationships but new perspectives too. Which are vital for growth and can even pull you closer. To the right things and people. Further away from the wrong things and people. For example, you might come across something that you find offensive or hurtful. With a different views you may realize that it’s not as hurtful as you thought.

We say: who cares. If it’s all in the name of fun this shouldn’t matter. What you’re laughing about Just that you’re grinning. There are some things even if they’re funny. That shouldn’t be laughed about. Like a pranks that goes too far. So, the next time you can’t think of anything to say. Find something to laugh about. You’ll be surprised how efficient it is.

  5. It is funny that I came across this post. I write little notes to my son so when he gets older he can read them, and last night I wrote him a letter about humor. I told him how important it is to have a sense of humor in life and be able to laugh at yourself. It really is important.

  7. Laughter does a body, mind and spirit good! Watching a comedy on TV or film often brings a person out of a depressed mood. What’s the old saying? “I’d rather laugh than cry!” We should all laugh a little more each day!

  8. My husband always tries to make me laugh when I’m in a grumpy mood. Sometimes I will give in and do so but other times, it takes a lot to finally loosen me up. The overall point is, it eventually works every time.
